The Norwood Democratic Club (NDC) is the "social" aspect of the Norwood Democrats (not to be confused with the Norwood Democratic Party). The NDC sponsors an annual family picnic at Milcrest Park, typically taking place the second Saturday in September. The event is free for all to attend, but we sell split the pot raffle tickets, combination raffle tickets, and typically hold a corn-hole tournament. The NDC also sponsors various funtions (not fundraisers) before and after City of Norwood elections.
Who:
Anyone can become a member of the NDC. To receive monthly newsletters, all that is required is the payment of annual dues, which are $10 per person. This also helps to cover the cost of beverages that are provided at monthly meetings.
When:
The NDC meets the 3rd Thursday of every month in the cafeteria of the Norwood Community Center(at the corner of Carter and Courtland Avenues) at 7:30pm. Elected city officials address issues presssing the city and also take questions. Hamilton County and/or Congressional candidates/officials frequently attend our meetings to speak and address issues on their upcoming campaign. The meetings are very formal but also very informative.
