Currently working for Wayne Coates, Hamilton County Recorder, as his Finance Director.

Present: Norwood Day Parade, Holy Trinity Parish: Festival, Variety Players, Men’s Club and Building &
Grounds.

Family Man:
Married to Kathy (Dettmer) 41 years.  We have been blessed with 6 children and 11 grandchildren, most
currently residing in the City of Norwood.

Real Results:
•   Active member of Finance Committee that maintained city services during years of negative cash flow
brought on by past Administrations.
•   Instrumental in obtaining grant funds for 2009 Hunter Park addition of restrooms.
•   Linden Pointe development has replaced a 20 year eyesore and will continue to progress.  The majority of
the first building is now occupied.
•   The Urology Group is now constructing a $15 million dollar facility in Norwood’s Fourth Ward.
•   Supported the implementation of a tax levy, for the November 2011 election, to provide funds for street
repair during a period when the City of Norwood is facing the possibility of $1.3 million deficit. Council
vote to do this failed, due to opposition from most of the other party’s council members.
•   Old Kaesemeyer Dairy building, at Carthage and Dale, has been dramatically remodeled for a new
Norwood business, Cinna Health Products.
•   Support aggressive procedures in dealing with absentee landlords and problem properties..
•   Approved the funding of new playground equipment for Fenwick Park in 2009 with a NatureWorks grant
providing the majority of the funding.
•   Support the formation of the Good Landlord Committee to provide assistance to current Norwood property
landlords and set up guidelines to promote the screening of new tenants and other methods to provide
the City of Norwood with better rental properties.
