A little about me:
My name is Lisa Russ; I have lived in Norwood going on 35 years.  My family moved
here back in the late 70s from Clermont County. I now reside on Floral Avenue where
my husband and I have lived for the past 11 years. We have been married for 25
years, and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, and I must not forget our 2 dogs.

My Education:
I have an associate’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Cincinnati; I am
currently finishing up my Bachelors degree with a Minor in Psychology. I expect to
graduate in December of 2011. The following fall of 2012 I will start my Masters
program at UC. My goal is to Master in Criminology, and to receive a teaching
certificate so one day I can teach in the upper levels of education.

Where I Stand:
Norwood is my home. I grew up here. I have raised children here. My roots are well-
established here, and I am concerned, as I am sure most of you are, about Norwood's
health and well being. This is why I made the decision to run for Norwood City Council
in Ward 2 on the independent* ticket. What better place to start building a better
Norwood than in my own neighborhood? I hope you will allow me to be your Voice in
our little neck of the woods. I think together we can move Norwood in the right
direction.  I am not a politician; I am just a citizen that wants what is best for this city
and the people who live here.
* Lisa Russ is listed as an Independent candidate, but she received the endorsement of the Norwood Democratic Party.
