Joe SANKER for Council-at-Large

COLE for Pres. of Council

A lifelong Norwood resident, Joe is completing his fifth term on Council.  He currently serves on Council's Finance and Claims Committee, Community Development and Small Business Committee and  the Streets and Infrastructure Committee, of which he is the Chair. In the past Joe has served on the Safety and Human Resources Committee, served as Norwood Clerk of Council,and served on the Norwood Board of Zoning Appeals. Joe  is a 1973 graduate of Purcell High School,and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in Speech Communications.  Joe resides on Indian Mound Ave. with his wife Jeanne and three children.  Joe holds membership in the Kiwanis, Norwood Irish Shamrock Club, Knights of Columbus, Purcell MarianAlumni Association , The Norwood Democratic Club, and the University of Cincinnati C - Club. Joe and his family attend Holy Trinity Church where he serves as President of the Men's Club. Joe is looking forward to serving the people of Norwood again in 2010 and will continue his work to stabilize the financial future of the City, improve the housing stock through programs such as CRA's  and strong building code enforcement , and supporting our professional safety services.
